Pandit Rajendra Ganganiji
Pandit Rajendra Ganganiji (Kathak Maestro) The disciple and son of Pt. Kundanlal Ganganiji, Pt. Rajendra Ganganiji started training in the art of Kathak dance at the early age of four. The renowned Jaipur `Gharana' saw the emergence of an outstanding performer and crusader of the art in the talented scion of a family of hereditary dancers serving the art of Kathak for centuries together.
He is one among the few Indians who have performed solo in Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, the Festival of India in USSR, apart from performances in America, Italy. Germany France, China, Japan and even Afghanistan.
Pandita Shamatai Bhate
Guru Shamatai Bhate is among the exponents in India today. Her career spans over40 years and she has been learning and performing Kathak from the age of 4 and has been a teacher and is involved with choreography and training many kathak Dancersin India, she is also the Artistic Director of her Dance academy "Nadroop" in Pune.
Kalashri has organized her workshop at Nagpur and Chandrapur, from 6th to 8th July 2019.
Guru Lalitha Srinivasan
Guru Lalitha Srinivasan, is the practitioner of the Mysore bani of Bharatnatyam. She heads the Nupura School of Bharathanatyam founded in 1978. She has to her credit numerous dance ballets like Chitrangadha, Sri Krishna Parijatha, Lasyotsava, Prem Bhakti Mukti, Koushika Sukritam, Gowdara Malli, Deva Kannika, the latest being Anveshane and Nisha Vibhrama, etc. and is especially lauded for her innovative works like Anga Bhava, Kavya Nritya, Sulalitha Nritya which is a revival of a 16th-century dance form – the Suladi, and Nisha Vibhrama.
She is the Principal of Bhavan’s Kalasrjan Academy of Indian Classible Music, Dance & Fine Arts, Nagpur. She performed widely in Vidarbha and some parts of Maharashtra.
Shantidevi Zha - Madhubani Artist
Shantidevi Zha, 63 years old Madhubani Artist from Madhubani. She is working on this traditional art from the age of Eight. She was on the board of Artist Mahila Haat, Bangal artist association, and many others. Winner of Rashtrapati award, 2012, Bihar state artist award in 2016 for her contribution to traditional Mithila art. It is a great pride, that she has been associated with Kalashri Art Foundation.
MADHUBANI ART - Ancient India around the seventh century BC king Janak from Mithila developed this art. The reason was to capture the wedding picture of his Daughter Sita and Rama. This art was used to decorate the house walls. The main theme was Nature and the Hindu Deities.
Navinkumar Zha - Madhubani Artist
Navinkumar Zha, Madhubani Artist, Son of Shantid Devi Zha. She is a famous Madhubani artist. Started his painting journey under the guidance of Shanti Devi. The painting painted with fingers, and twigs match- sticks or pen Nibs. The colors used in this are all-natural colors from trees, flowers, and vegetables. Our first Madhubani workshop held at Chandrapur in 2018 under the able guidance of Navinkumar Zha. He is associated with Kalashri Art foundation.
Minaxi Vyada - Warli Artist
Famous Warli painter from Dahanu. She started her painting at the age of 12, worked with many Government assignments. She has worked for almost 25 years to carve the Warli art in the famous Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum. Minaxi has associated with the Warli Abhian Mohim won many awards from Govt. of India, State art dept also honour Minaxi for her contribution in Warli art. She is associated with Kalashri Art Foundation.
Warli painting is a tribal art by the tribal people from Sahyadri ranges in Maharashtra. All these people then scattered in Dahanu, Talasari, Palghar in the tribal belt near Mumbai in 1970 Jivya soma Mashe, and Babu Mashe have developed this Warli art and introduced it to the mainstream of the Art arena. Warli painting the forms are Geometric, Tringles, squares, circles, patterns with human figures, and crops. Warli art is famous for bamboo work and wall art.
